Kwiks for Windows 95 - A freeware-game by DIGITAL Nightmares! This game requires a PC with Windows 95 and Direct X 3.0 or better ... What is Kwiks? ---------------- Kwiks is a clone of the old 8-bit classic game QIX. In the game the screen has to be filled as good as possible with a picture. This is done by marking areas on the screen which then (if there is no monster in them) are filled with the picure. When the player has filled 75% of the playfield the level is completed. With a green line the fill-area is marked, blue lines are old, filled green lines. The player must not cross his own green lines and these must not be hit by monsters, too! Blue lines and filled areas may be passed. Different types of monsters exist, they behave different and so must be handled special. Hitting a monster is deadly! If you get hit and there are lives left, you continue your game in the middle top of the screen. Every 5000 points you get a new life. A few Tips: ------------- Catch monsters in small areas. Cut bigger free areas in smaller pieces. But fill big areas to get much more points! Run early to catch a monster, a good time is when it passes you. Watch all monsters and try to calculate its further way on the screen ... The Game: ----------- After the title-screen the main-menu appears. There you can choose START GAME with the cursorkeys and confirm with SPACE or RETURN/ENTER. In the game you see the filled area in percent, your level, your points and your lifes in the information bar. Beneath this you have the playfield. Your marker is blinking green, monsters are blinking in different colors.
